Recently in the STEAM Lab, 2nd graders worked on customizing their Lego Milo robot for our “Battle Bots” activity. Students used block programming and their Lego customizations to knock pieces off their opponent's robot or push them out of the playing square. They had a blast figuring out ways to improve their robot and program.
CPR Training: Join experts from New York-Presbyterian and Columbia University Irving Medical Center to learn hands-only CPR, AED use, and other lifesaving skills. All participants receive a free CPR Training kit to practice and teach others. To register scan QR code located on the flyer.

P.S. 115 students ❤️ reading! Today, in the Library, Ms. Andra's Kindergarten and 3rd grade classes enjoyed some independent reading time with their stuffed animal reading buddies. Kindergartners who aren't yet readers came up with their own stories, based on their book's illustrations.

On January 13, 2024, at 2:00 pm, in the School Auditorium, students who have been working with the Washington Heights Community Conservatory and Gregorio Luperon High School will be showcasing their hard work and talent in this wonderful music program. We hope you'll join us!
Class 201 participated in a Genius Hour Cooking class activity where we made our own guacamole! We collaborated with our classmates as chefs and practiced reading to follow a recipe carefully.

The community organization "Helping our People Evolve" (HOPE) is hosting **virtual** financial workshops designed to empower parents with essential insights into effective money management. These workshops are scheduled for January 16th at 9 AM (in Spanish), January 17th at 4 PM (in Spanish), and January 20th at 12 PM (in English). December memories of good times at PS 115: Parents joining one of our Pre-K classes for a Winter Celebration, including games, crafts, and hot chocolate!
Councilwoman Carmen De La Rosa will be hosting a Three Kings Holiday Celebration this Friday, January 5th from 3pm-5pm in front of her office on Wadsworth Ave., between West 176th and West 177th streets. Her office has collaborated with local organizations to provide resources for families, hot drinks, a variety of games, holiday music and more. All are welcome! @cndelarosa

On December 19th, musician Yasser Tejeda brought his musical talents to our school. Yasser provided our students with a short history of each genre and rhythmic pattern examples found in music from the Dominican Republic.
